today was the end of the English school year for you guys. I hope you enjoyed coming to class. I personnally did.

You can practise reviewing your vocabulary with the exercise below:

Je suis obligé au regard des textes de vous en fournir une. Toutefois, je vous déconseille formellement de prendre la matière "anglais" au rattrapage même si vous êtes tous relativement d'un bon niveau dans la classe.

Etant donné le jeu des coefficients, il sera sans doute plus judicieux de prendre une matière scientifique dans laquelle vous auriez eu une faiblesse le jour du bac. I'm crossing my fingers you won't!

Dans tous les cas de figure, si malheureusement vous deviez subir les épreuves du 2nd groupe, contactez-moi si vous hésitez entre "anglais" et autre chose. Les professeurs seront là pour vous guider au mieux dans vos choix. 

Cette année, je n'ai pas eu le temps de vous préparer à d'éventuels rattrapages et vous n'êtes donc pas prêt pour ce type d'examen oral. C'est également une des raisons pour lesquelles je ne souhaite pas que vous preniez "langue vivante 2" au rattrapage.

Then I told you about tomorrow's game. You need to create some flash cards with vocabulary, grammar points, phonetic items, and cultural facts to be remembered.

Don't forget to bring a cheese cake if you want to take part to the "Cheese Cake recipe" contest and you may bring other stuff to have a little end-of-the-year party.

today we completed some grammar exercises and we checked whether your grammar rules were correct or not.

Here is the correction for the exercises:

- Ce matin, je suis allé au marché et j'ai acheté des légumes bio.

- Je mange des légumes bio depuis que je suis petit.

- Quand j'étais petit ma mère avait l'habitude d'acheter ses produits à la ferme. Depuis, je mange uniquement des fruits frais.

- J'ai préparé le repas il y a 2 heures. Mais bien sûr, comme tu as joué aux jeux vidéo pendant 3 heures, c'est froid maintenant... et en plus tu as les yeux injectés de sang!

- Ceux qui auront fait cette traduction jusqu'au bout et sans faire d'erreur auront le droit à une plus grosse part de cheese cake... hum... miam!

In the second part of the hour, we corrected 2 grammar exercises; the first one dealt with verbs of speech and the other one was about indirect speech and logical tenses. Here is the correction:

I have finished corrected your last test and here are the results if you're interested in getting to know them. For those who haven't had a good grade this time, we'll correct the test next week and I hope that the correction will make you understand things that you still haven't grasped...

today we first watched a video from Amnesty International's website.

Here is what we said about it:

Amnesty International is an organisation which stands up for human rights.

In Zimbabwe, a human rights activist was abducted because he had stood up against government corruption.
In China, a journalist was sentenced to 10 years in prison because he had sent an e-mail.
In Iran, thousands of men and women were arrested and tortured because they had asked for fair elections. They were beaten / whipped / molested.

Finally we wrote a report about the text that we had begun to study. Here is the summary:

HW: Highlight in the text all the elements that you will need to quote to justify your answer. You also need to complete exercises 3 to 9 from your grammar worksheet.
