English Day by Day

Hey,

today we first warmed up with a topical issue. Here is what we said about it:

Group 1:
The victory of the French handball team.
Their victory is astounding. They have won the world cup, the European championship and the olympic games. Aurélie doesn't like watching sports on TV. She prefers practising. She used to be in a volley-ball team. As for Juliette's father, he's a cameraman and will film the olympic games in Vancouver. He's looking forward to this event. How lucky he is!

Group 2:
"to be written by Félix"

Then we continued with our work on phonetics. Here are the results of our little game on the topic (click on the words to have the definition and then click on the blue words to hear the correct English pronunciation):

Group 1:
leader
fair-play
machine
hamburger
education
square
jeans
jeep
tourist
poster
jogging
check
suspense
apple

Group 2:"to be written by Félix"

See you for your orientation week on Thursday at 1:30 pm at the documentation center,
M. Hattais.
