Hi guys,
today we finished correcting your tests thanks to the comic strip. Here is what we said about the characters' feelings and how to express them in a dialogue:
"to be written by ..."
HW: don't forget to review all the year's lessons to be able to take your oral exam this Wednesday or Friday. I also encourage you to make lexical
sheets about dialogue and moods (positive and negative attitudes) if you want to make progress in the future.

Hey,
today we worked on the correction of your test from last time (about the Wembly kidnapping).
I hoped you liked it despite your really poor results and that you will have understood the story better.
HW: for next time, you need to finish your methodology worksheet, associate one expression to one event from your comic strip, and add the possible
dialogue in the balloons. I'll be giving you your binders back with your last grade.
Don't forget that you will need to review a whole year's worth of class for your final oral tests on Wednesday (morning and afternoon) and Friday.

Hey guys,
today we did lots of things:
- First, we corrected the exercise from your methodology worksheet and we reviewed the techniques to understand words in an unknown document.
Here is the correction:
"to be written by ..."
- Then, we reviewed how to pronunce /ed/ endings correctly:
Here is the rule with some examples:
"to be written by ..."
- Finally, we ended the class with a correction for your reports. You can download a copy of the correction here:

At the end of the class, you had to read the report and highlight all the vocabulary words that you will add to the vocabulary part in your binders.
HW: finish reading the report if you haven't and complete your vocabulary list, get ready for the test (don't forget about how to make hypotheses
in the past and in the present and review all your lessons and vocabulary) + don't forget to update your binders (grammar file, vocabulary file, ...) since I will collect them next week, on
Wednesday.

Hey,
today we first corrected the timeline of events that happened before and after the governor's death that could explain the situation and that could give us some
clues to identify the culprit.
Here is what we wrote:
"to be written by..."
Then we continued the lesson with a sketch of the crime scene where you had to draw and identify what elements were really mentionned in the story and what
elements were superfluous.
Here is the list of elements that we are sure of:
"to be written by..."
Here is the picture of the crime scene as you drew it (how artistic it is, isn't it...?)
(yet to up uploaded)
HW: for next time, prepare your revisions and update your binders. You will take a final test on Friday May 27th.
Files: Your timeline is partly corrected here (+ in blue -> the places, in flashy green -> the
alibis)

Hey,
today we first made a quick recap of the situtation in the text and we continued with analysing everyone's testimony in which we identified clues pointing at the
fact that they might have killed the governor.
Here is what we said:
"to be written by ..."
HW: prepare your police report to accuse a suspect with facts, evidence, and assumptions.
Complete exercise #4 from your methodology worksheet.
Files:
Donwload a copy of the Vocabulary Files for your report:

Hey,
today you first had to try and find some important information about the 2nd and 3rd part of the text. You had to identify who the suspects of Liddy Hamilton were,
where they were, their possible motives and alibis and their connection to the victim. Here is what we said about them:
"to be written by ..."
HW: you need to try and confirm some information about the suspects (what they were doing during while the crime was being committed, and what
their reasons to kill Robert could be = make assumptions!). You also need to finish completing the worksheet I gave you about the timeline of events and the crime scene.

Hey people,
today you first took a vocabulary test and then we corrected parts of your Rosa Parks test from last week. We focused our attention on how to conjugate verbs in the
preterit (positive and negative sentences).
Then we continued the class with trying to identify the important elements in a text written in a completely foreign language to you. And you understood that it was
not that difficult to get important information.
Here is what we said about the text (answers to the multiple choice questions):
"to be written by ..."
Then we did the 2nd exercise and you could understand English words thanks to their context.
Here is what we said:
"to be written by..."
HW: you need to complete exercise #2.
Files: download a copy of the methodology worksheet
here.

Hey,
today we first warmed up with what you did during the week end. Some of you as usual behaved like vampires... sleeping all week end long while other went to the
cinema or watched movies on TV.
As for the class, we continued making hypotheses about the motives for why the woman killed her husband. Here is what we said:
"to be written by ..."
Then we continued with explaining the grammar rule and the differences between the 4 modal auxiliaries. Here it reads:
"to be written by ..."
Finally, we made assumption about what the woman was holding in her right hand. Here is what we said:
"to be written by ..."
Here is the rule about assumptions in the present:
"to be written by ..."
HW: for next time, get ready for a vocabulary test.

Will you be able to finally find the solution to this mystery?
We'll see about this next time. For now, you have drawn a chart about the facts, the clues, the possible ways the man died and the murder weapons and finally, we
began to express some motives.
Here is what we said:
"to be written by..."
HW: find 3 possible motives why the wife killed her husband and finish completing the lexical worksheet.
