Hey,
today we first watched a video from the series "Man VS Wild". Here are your reactions and what you said about it:
How to survive in the wild:
--> The man who used to be a marine is / insane / crazy !
He always eats raw insects. It's / disgusting / gross.
Even if it is a good source of proteins, I would not eat larvae. Maybe I would try it for money as long as it was cooked.
Vocbulary:
- Yummy / tasty / delicious
- crickets
- ants
- larvae
-----------------------------------------------------------
You can watch the extract again below:
Then we continued the lesson with the correction of your essays. Here are the pieces of advice I gave you:
- Grammar:
Everybody is ...
Everything is ... = + verbe au singulier
- /very/ on ne rajoute pas "very" sur des adjectifs extrêmes / adjectifs dits "saturés" (ex: true / terrified /
wonderful / ...)
Il faut utiliser une autre forme pour intensifier si on veut le faire. Il s'agira de choisir un adverbe:
-
quite / really / absolutely / completely / awful
I can't imagine eating larvae... It would be quite awful!
- so + adj ... that ....
- At that moment, ... = à ce moment-là, ...
- Dialogue: introduction des verbes du discours. L'ordre par rapport à la phrase classique ne change pas. On n'inverse pas le sujet - verbe comme on
peut le faire parfois en français:
-
"...", he said politely = S + V + Cpmt
- Verbe de sentiment + V- ing. ex: I prefer eating crickets to larvae.
- Voc:
- One day, ......
- To enter
a room
- To go up to someone ≠ To approach (terme militaire uniquement)
- Cohérence temporelle:
Veiller à ce que le temps de la narration soit bien toujours le prétérit.
HW: don't forget that on Wed. you will have your final test on the sequence "Robots and the Future".
