Today,
we did a quick warm up dealing with someone who was interviewed about his favorite superhero character.
You can listen to the document here again:
Here is what we wrote:
Warm up:
Favorite character:
He's crazy about Spiderman.
He's keen on Spiderman.
He's fond of Spiderman.
Reasons:
Because in daily life, he's a normal person. He is a photographer.
Because he has an animal symbol. This animal / beast has awesome abilities.
Because we can identify with him. He is not a villain.
The Green Goblin (the enemy of Spiderman) can do what he wants when he wants; he can fly between buildings.
Peter Parker by day > alter ego: Spiderman
Then we worked on the first panels from the comic book Spiderman. You worked in 8 groups. I need the secretaries' notes to be able to correct and publish them on the blog. Please send them as a
comment of this post.
In each group, there was a secretary and a spokesman/woman. The spokesmen/women who haven't spoken today will have to present their jobs on Friday.
Group 1:
In the first drawing, in the bottom right-hand
corner, we can see a young man whose name is Peter Parker. He's
lying on his bed. His uncle is waking up his nephew. He is standing next to him. He's called Ben. Peter Parker
is wearing pajamas whereas his uncle is
dressed up.
Group 2:
Picture #2 depicts the scene when Peter is having his breakfast.
On the left, we can see Peter's aunt who has cooked his favorite breakfast: wheatcakes. In
the middle, we can see Peter who is sitting on a chair and waiting for his
breakfast. He is drinking. On the right, we can see his uncle who is feeling his muscle.
Group 3:
As we can read at the top of the panel, the scene
takes place in a highschool laboratory.
In the foreground, we can see Peter Parker, who is wearing glasses, a tie and a
jacket. He is practising science with a man who seems to be his science teacher. He looks happy to be doing that and the teacher is congratulating him for his good work.
In the background, we can see a girl who seems to be another student.
Group 4:
In the foreground, we can see Peter and Sally who are in the
street.
They are talking but Sally isn't paying attention to him because she is doing her
nails.
Peter is wearing old-fashioned clothes: a shirt, a jacket, a tie and
glasses. He is holding books in his right hand.
Sally is wearing a skirt, a tee-shirt and high heel shoes. She looks very
feminine.
Group 5:
The document is a panel from a comic book. We can see 3 characters.
In the foreground, we can see Flash Tompson. On the left, there is Mary who is taking
the boy's arm. In the background, we can see Peter Parker; he is holding books. He looks ill-at-ease and ridiculous.
Group 6:
At the top, there are the balloons. Peter Parker is at the bottom, on the left.
In the bottom right-hand corner, there is a gang of students. They are teasing Peter Parker because he is asking them to go with
him at the science hall.
Group 7: to be sent by Camille Ridey
Group 8:
In the 8th panel, we can see Peter Parker. He is wearing a suit and glasses. He is carrying a lot of papers in his
arms. In the background, there is a poster indicating where the public can go to see experiments in radio activity. He
is going to the science exhibition in room 30. He looks angry because his classmates have laughed at him. He is saying he will retaliate.
