Hey,
first we warmed up about a topical issue. Should we implant CCTV at school?
Here is what we said:
Chéryl thinks it's a bad idea. It's useless. She said that in banks or metro stations, there are cameras, but there are
still hold-ups / aggressions.
On the contrary, Marine is in favour. She believes it could be useful. It could help
students' safety.
Then we continued to speak about the text and more precisely about the attitude of immigrant parents (Daleidy's parents). Here is what we said both about the parents and the child's
behaviour:
They feel more concerned about education than American parents: when Daleidy comes
home with a poor grade, her mother cries. She is not proud of her daughter, she is disappointed with her and Daleidy feels guilty.
Finally we began to recap everything we have said about the text with a fill in the blanks exercise.
HW: You need to complete this exercise for Friday.
