Hey,
today we started the analysis of the 1st panel from the Spiderman comic strip. Here is what we said about it:
The first panel of the comic strip:
- The document can be divided into 4 parts -->
° the captions and the bubbles -> At the top
° the group of Peter's classmates (his enemies)
-> In the foreground on the left
° Peter Parker -> In the background, on the right
° Spiderman (Peter's shadow) -> On the
right
- Peter is alone and looks sad while his enemies are in a group and look
happy.
- He looks like an intellectual bookworm with his
glasses whereas his classmates are more relaxed / casual
Voc:
An old-fashioned look /
style
Important adjectives / expressions to know:
Strong # weak
Powerful # powerless
athletic # not sporty
Muscular # skinny
Confident # shy
Self-assured # introverted
Proud of (him)self # timid
Determined # hesitant
HW: apprendre la leçon et le nouveau vocabulaire, y compris les prépositions permettant de localiser un élément dans un document (en haut, à gauche, ...).
